Pokémon GO so far

The news on the real world location base of exploring the virtual location for Pokémon, Pokémon GO has been announced for close to a year now and we are still awaiting for it.


Unlike previously the Pokémon game was exclusive to Nintendo devices, these game would be cater for iPhone and Android devices.

Built on Niantic’s Real World Gaming Platform, Pokémon GO uses real locations to get players to search for Pokémon in the real world. There are over hundred different Pokémon as they explore their surroundings. However the location of such game currently are limited to Hokkaido and Kanto city of Japan, New York, and Paris... That would mean for gamers who want to have such game may need to travel there. Plus the apps maybe limited to certain region...


The game do offer customization of the player persona and the Pokémon are design to be on the overlay over a real world background.


On top of that, there will be another device that serve as an add on Pokémon GO Plus which enable players to enjoy the game even while they’re not looking at their smartphones. Connected to host device via Bluetooth, it will notifies the player about events such as appearance of a Pokémon with LED and vibration. Player can use pressing the button on the device to capture the Pokémon too.


It is worth mentioning the game is FREE (except the device you have to pay for it).

Players can have 2 choices to wait for the game to release on their region or travel to the location to play the game. The choice so far is up to you.
